Participation in the Workshop “The Political Economy of Migration Regimes.” Berlin, Freie Universität, 18 November.

On November 18th, I participated in a very interesting workshop organized by Prof. Christian Ambrosius, Freie University Berlin and Latin American Centre. A group of economists and political scientists got together to discuss issues as diverse as the effectiveness of information campaigns about the risks of emigrating; anti-Chinese sentiments in Sub-Saharan Africa; the role of political trust in shaping pro-immigration attitudes; and the political economy of deportations. Many thanks to my co-author and colleague Prof. Ambrosius and his team for organising this interesting in-person event. You can see the full programme here.
